Climbing the Duomo

So today was a busy day. I went shopping this morning and got a bunch of stuff that I had been meaning to get finally. And then me and my roommate Gio went to go buy tickets to a concert that is out here (will write more about that when it happens) and then me and her decided to go and climb to the very top of the Duomo, which you can do for a small fee of 8 euros (yeah i know, not so small, but worth it!). First we just went in and saw the main level, which was beautiful! They had little candle trees there with a box full of candels that you could light if you put in a donation, so I got to light a candle :D Then we went downstairs where we found another little museum type thing that was 3 euros to enter, but we decided that we wanted to climb to the top before they closed. The line for that was very long, but we got in. The stairs were very steep and very narrow! There was one part where we were on a balcony/walkway thing that was about 2 feet wide (maybe less) that circled the top ceiling of the dome and we were able to see the painted ceiling better from there. Even I was a little shaky with how high up that was. After over 400 steps we finally reached the top! The view was amazing up there! The climb back down was just as freaky as the climb up! It was a great day! Now I have to actually do homework tomorrow, hahaha.
