Buonasera!
So I have finally had the first day of all my classes. On monday I had my Advanced Drawing class. That should be fun. There are only 4 students in it! We had to first have a placement test to make sure that we were at the appropriate level to be in and advanced class. We all passed. Tuesday was my painting class and my italian class. I'm a little dissappointed that we haven't started actually painting in that class, we are actually drawing first. Seems a little redundant to me with a drawing class the first day, but I guess that some of the other people in it don't have as much of a drawing background as I do since it's a foundation painting class. Italian was interesting. The first thing the professor did was turn on some American oldies and crawl up on the table. He took attendance kneeling up on the table! I thought that was great, shows that he's not a stiff. He actually left the music on for a while too, not just for attendance. He seemed really nice so hopefully that will go ok. Today I had my sculpture class. That one will turn out to be a lot of fun I think. I had some trouble finding the right room and when I did find it, the door was locked! Then another girl who was in my class comes over looking for the room too, and we realize that we both look familiar to the other. Turns out we go to the same university back home and we had an art history class together. She was here last semester and is finishing up a year long program. While we were standing there waiting, another guy comes who also looks familiar to me. He also goes to the same university back home. I kept seeing him in the ceramics room when he would come in all the time to work on his projects. So I think that it's nice that I already know two of the students in that class. The professor seems really cool! It's his first time teaching at FUA, it's actually the first time FUA has had a sculpture class. He went over a few things and then cut a 5 1/2 hour class down to about 20 minutes. After he finished talking he said "Well I don't have anything else for you......I found this clay over here, you guys wanna do something with it?" We all said yeah. Then he said "Let's hope that the clay I ordered shows up before the ceramics professor notices it's gone." hahahahahahahaha. We made faces out of the clay, we still need to hollow them out next class and then i think we might make plaster molds with them, not sure what he has in mind.
So far the classes seem good. 5 1/2 hour long studio classes will probably get a bit boring after a while though, hopefully they won't get to long. Wish me luck!
Ciao!

sounds cool! I'm happy for you Erin. You should make me something over there :) And like I said, you can change your style, but no changing your personality. I love you the way you are. :)
